Modrý motýl is a small facility in a semi-secluded spot in Sviňovice below Mount Libín near Prachatice, at an altitude of around 900 m on the edge of the Šumava mountains, among meadows and woods. The room for the darkness is in a new small building next to the hosts‘ house and has its own bathroom. Retreats have been offered here since 2025.

It is run by Roman Kübelbeck and Ivana Záleská, who have themselves done several dark retreats. The approach is based on the Tibetan practice of yangti and relies on darkness, silence and solitude; the guide is close by the whole time and the guest can talk to them at any time. Food is home-made vegetarian from local organic produce and is delivered once a day. The shortest stay is one week, so this is more for longer, deeper retreats than a short trial; the health requirements for admission are stricter than elsewhere. Guests are picked up from the train in Zbytiny or from the bus in Prachatice or at Libínské sedlo.
